Reminiscing Again<\/p>\n
Here I go one more time again.
\nThinking about way back when.
\nNo need then to lock your doors.
\nNo rioting or any nasty hoards.
\nA time to walk in moonlight.
\nEnjoying the quiet of the night.
\nNo fear of being attacked.
\nNo problem with being hacked.
\nCell phones weren\u2019t invented yet.
\nLetter writing was a big outlet.
\nPlaying outside was a way of life.
\nNo one threatened you with a knife.
\nPeople were honest. Robbery was low.
\nPeople felt safe where ever they would go.
\nOn Sabbath, church was the place to be.
\nFamilies were strong and you felt free.
\nThere were bullies, but not like now.
\nWe did farm work and milked the cow.
\nKids had great imaginations back then.
\nEntertaining each other with games of whim.
\nNighttime brought us restful sleep.
\nNo nightmares about nightly news repeats.
\nSecurity is an important word.
\nA wonderful feeling that\u2019s not absurd.
\nWe felt secure back in those days.
\nBack when things were simpler ways.
\nNot all changes since then have been good.
\nI would go back to the old days, if I could.
\nBut, just remembering brings peace of mind.
\nBack when the world once knew a better time.<\/p>\n
