The Past, Present, And Future<\/p>\n
The way it was, I can clearly see.
\nNot so, the way it supposed to be.
\nThe past is just a good bye.
\nThe present is the reason why.
\nThe future is yet for us to see.
\nWould you like to spend it with me?
\nThey say we can learn from the past.
\nAccording to the present, that didn\u2019t last.
\nThe future, they say, we can make our own.
\nIt will go smoother if we make a home.
\nIt is only the future for which I can plan.
\nI want you with me, if I possibly can.
\nYou are with me in my scheme of things.
\nI hope you really know what that means.
\nA day will come when I will look back.
\nI\u2019ll say: \u201cI arrived here because I did all that.\u201d
\nWith the proper foundation our love will stand.
\nWe don\u2019t want to build on a foundation of sand.
\nWe want something that Is going to last.
\nSo we will be content when our future is our past.<\/p>\n
