\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 God Works In Mysterious Ways<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was in the evening when I got to town.<\/p>\n

The local watering hole was having a big \u2018ho down.\u2019<\/p>\n

Cars were parked up and down the street.<\/p>\n

Looked like a good place to find someone to meet.<\/p>\n

The place was packed. No cover charge.<\/p>\n

Lots of rednecks were up at the bar.<\/p>\n

Several guys & girls were out on the floor.<\/p>\n

Dancing to a live band and they wanted more.<\/p>\n

They were whooping , hollering, & carrying on.<\/p>\n

Dancing up a storm as the band played on.<\/p>\n

There was one empty table over on the right.<\/p>\n

Vacated after others were thrown out for a fight.<\/p>\n

I told the waitress I was a peaceful man.<\/p>\n

I avoid trouble every way that I can.<\/p>\n

She smiled and went to get me my drink.<\/p>\n

As she smiled I gave her a wink.<\/p>\n

I looked around at all the others.<\/p>\n

Seemed all the gals were with another.<\/p>\n

I knew if I tried to horn in,<\/p>\n

that would be when trouble would begin.<\/p>\n

What I told the waitress, I said right. I was not looking for any fight.<\/p>\n

Soon she returned with my drink in hand .<\/p>\n

I said keep them coming as best you can.<\/p>\n

I slipped her an extra large tip.<\/p>\n

She smiled with a quiver in her lip.<\/p>\n

Later, as she came by, she would say \u201cHi.\u201d<\/p>\n

Quickly, I caught that look in her eye.<\/p>\n

So, I asked her when she got off.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight after closing time I\u2019ll be off.\u201d<\/p>\n

She asked why I wanted to know?<\/p>\n

\u201cCoffee & food sounds good, you want to go?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou bet. I can hardly wait.\u201d<\/p>\n

Just like that I had a date.<\/p>\n

The evening dragged on. The music was good.<\/p>\n

The waitress treated me like she should.<\/p>\n

Finally, the band played their last number.<\/p>\n

People were leaving. Heading home to slumber.<\/p>\n

The waitress came with purse in hand.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll ride with you. I usually ride with the band.\u201d<\/p>\n

We went to an all night coffee shop.<\/p>\n

Got in a booth and we sat and talked.<\/p>\n

She said her name was Candy.<\/p>\n

I said \u201cSuper. my name is Andy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe band watches out for me when they can.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI told them you were safe, \u00a0a peaceful man\u201d<\/p>\n

I laughed at that as we talked over coffee.<\/p>\n

Then we ordered breakfast to go with the coffee.<\/p>\n

She said she only worked on weekends.<\/p>\n

Sometimes on holidays.—- It depends.<\/p>\n

Most of her time she is in school.<\/p>\n

Studying to be a Archeologist too.<\/p>\n

I couldn\u2019t believe what I had just heard.<\/p>\n

The coincidence was really weird.<\/p>\n

I had just become an Archeologist myself.<\/p>\n

Religious Archeology was my stealth.<\/p>\n

She was as surprised as was I.<\/p>\n

\u201dI couldn\u2019t have picked a better guy.\u201d<\/p>\n

It seemed she was interested in religious artifacts.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight out of high school\u201d, she said \u201cThat\u2019s where it\u2019s at.\u201d<\/p>\n

We spent the rest of the evening together.<\/p>\n

I asked to see her more. She said \u201dIn any weather.\u201d<\/p>\n

She finishes school this summer.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when I\u2019m leaving for a dig. What a bummer.<\/p>\n

That is, unless she comes along.<\/p>\n

I mean, a meeting like this can\u2019t be wrong.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t long & we were digging up something good.<\/p>\n

We hadn\u2019t left town yet, but we knew we would.<\/p>\n

We were married before we left for the dig.<\/p>\n

We went on our honeymoon in my old rig.<\/p>\n

We wanted to make a great discovery.<\/p>\n

Regardless of the work for the recovery.<\/p>\n

If we did or didn\u2019t could take time.<\/p>\n

But, we both knew we already made our greatest find.<\/p>\n

That was finding each other the way we did.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re sure God was leading. Praise what He did.<\/p>\n
