Writer\u2019s Cramp?<\/p>\n
I asked for advice that might come to mind.
\nThey said stick it where the sun don\u2019t shine.
\nI said what kind of advice is that, you jerks.
\nThey said to take it for what it is worth.
\nI just wanted help to write this down.
\nThey said do we look like simple clowns?
\nWhat in the world does that mean?
\nThey said look at the whole, not in between.
\nThat is about as clear as mud, I said.
\nJust like the thoughts inside your head.
\nYou insulting sapsuckers are no help at all.
\nOh, is our little poet going to bawl?
\nAsk for a little help and what do I get?
\nYou couldn\u2019t get it right, even on a bet.
\nThat\u2019s it. I\u2019ve had it with this word smith trash.
\nGood. It\u2019s time you wrote something with a little class.
\nI\u2019ve had enough! You guys have got to go.
\nThat\u2019s kind of hard when were in your head bro.
\nThen it hit me like a revelation out of time.
\nThese voices I\u2019ve been hearing are mine.
\nTo be able to write poetry without help,
\nI have to learn to tune out self.
\nDo other writers have this problem?
\nBut then, this is not really about them.
\nA little self analysis should help.
\nSassy, you\u2019re just a little whelp.
\nWise ass, you\u2019re really the real fool.
\nYou sapsuckers wouldn\u2019t know what to do,
\nif it wasn\u2019t for me,—- you fools.
\nThere, that should clear my mind.
\nNow, I can put in some quality time.
\nGood poetry will soon be on the way.
\nThose sapsuckers can harass me some other day.<\/p>\n
