The Chronicles Of Kronos (Chapter 3)<\/p>\n
As Kronos studied, things were in a stir.
\nVantera citizens were upset, for sure.
\nMagic was almost non-existent on earth.
\nMagic was still on Vantera, for what it was worth.
\nAnything like it was during the Warlock\/Wizard wars.
\nBack when magic led to many horrors.
\nNow, magic was used medicinally mostly.
\nAlso to help with agriculture, weather, & roach free.
\nThis was on Vantera. No warlocks were around.
\nThere was no reason to study war, they had found.
\nBut now, the death of Thedra caused a stir.
\nThe citizens wanted answers. That\u2019s for sure.
\nThe High Council Of 9 ordered an investigation.
\nThedra\u2019s son, Obrin, led it with elation.
\nHe had studied the ancient arts of war.
\nHe knew \u2018old magic\u2019 to it\u2019s very core.
\nHe, with chosen others, went to the Jeru church.
\nThey would check it out, for what it was worth.
\nHe cast a spell that would detect ancient magic.
\nHe found strong traces left, which was tragic.
\n\u201cWho today can wield magic of this power?\u201d
\nNo name came up. Magic had faded like a flower.
\nAt a total loss as to what to do,
\nan idea came to him. He would follow through.
\nObrin said he would go to the \u2018old castle\u2019.
\n\u201cYou mean the one on the plateau?\u201d
\n\u201cYes, the one that was the Black Arts Museum.\u201d
\nIf no one was there, no one would see him.
\n\u201cThat is off limits. It has a protective shield around it.\u201d
\n\u201cI know enough \u2018old magic\u2019 to penetrate it.\u201d
\nThey all went to the base of the plateau.
\nHe cast an old spell and gave them a show.
\nHe passed through the protective shield.
\nThis passing Kronos could immediately feel.
\nKronos rushed up and sat on his throne.
\nAn invisibility shield made his presence unknown.
\nBy then, Obrin had climbed to the top.
\nHe entered the throne room right at that spot.
\nHe looked around and noticed nothing out of place.
\nIf someone had been there, there was no trace.
\nHe checked several places with no signs of passage.
\nHe zapped back down, his depression lasting.
\nHe told the others that he didn\u2019t find a thing.
\nThere was no proof he found that he could bring.
\n\u201cThere is only one answer to this mystery death.\u201d
\n\u201cSomeone, way back then rigged a Crest.\u201d
\n\u201cThat is a spell that will work on descendents of the enemy.\u201d
\n\u201cIt was just triggered, for some reason.\u201d He told the assembly.
\n\u201cThedra is a direct descendent of Anika.\u201d
\n\u201cWhat other explanation can there be?\u201d \u201cDon\u2019t freak out.\u201d
\n\u201cSuch spells are difficult to construct.\u201d
\n\u201cI doubt if another would be so abrupt.\u201d
\n\u201cWe should all be safe in the future.\u201d
\n\u201cIf other things happen, we\u2019ll know more what to do here.\u201d
\n\u201cLet us pray and put this whole thing to rest.\u201d
\n\u201cAlso, let us pray that there won\u2019t be a next.\u201d
\nKronos returned to his work.
\nHe was tempted to \u2018roast\u2019 the twerp.
\nBut, then, he thought about the panthers.
\nHe would ignore this interruption & search for answers.
\nSo, as Kronos goes back to work,
\nwe must consider, what is it worth?
\nTo ignore his hatred of the Wizards.
\nJust to do as demons command to save his gizzard.
\nKronos was in quite a stir.
\nIt was Anika. He wanted to murder her.
\nSo, as he studies, and fusses and stirs,
\nwe will leave him thinking of murder.
\nWhat exactly he will do next
\nwill be revealed in the following text.<\/p>\n
