Kronos & Asglow continued to work on phase III.
\n\u2018The Shadow\u2019 worked on helping them get free.
\nOne day \u2018The Shadow\u2019 asked them, searching.
\n\u201cDid you say the demons had others researching?\u201d
\n\u201cOnce, they said others were doing the same.\u201d
\n\u201cWorking on other projects. That was plain\u201d
\n\u201cOthers brought back to life or still alive.\u201d
\n\u201cMade to serve them, or face a horrible demise.\u201d
\n\u201cDid they mention who or where they were?\u201d
\n\u201cNo, just that they were all over the earth.\u201d
\n\u201cI think I have a way to find some of them.\u201d
\n\u201cIf I can, it will help us to make friends.\u201d
\n\u201cYou won\u2019t be able to meet them yet.\u201d
\n\u201cBut, if my idea is right, you will, you bet.\u201d
\nWith that, \u2018The Shadow\u2019 was gone in a blink.
\nKronos and Asglow didn\u2019t know what to think.
\nThey continued on with their research each day.
\n\u2018The Shadow\u2019 was gone. Where? Who could say?
\nWhen, he had left, seemed like months ago,
\n\u2018The Shadow\u2019 returned with someone in tow.
\n\u201cGreetings friends. Meet Merlin, my new friend.\u201d
\n\u201cIt seems he has been forced to work to the same end.\u201d
\n\u201cHe is a Warlock of great renown.\u201d
\n\u201cHe is from England, where he influenced the crown.\u201d
\n\u201cThe demons have had him under their control
\nfor a couple hundred years, or so.\u201d
\n\u201cThat is about how long we have been in the same fix.\u201d
\nKronos said as he shook his fist.
\n\u201cHow did they get control of you?\u201d Asglow asked.
\n\u201cThreatened me with a severe demise\u201d, he spat.
\n\u201cI won\u2019t go into the details. They are gruesome.\u201d
\n\u201cI hate doing their work. It is a major nuisance.\u201d
\n\u201cWe know what you mean. Same for us, it seems.\u201d
\n\u201cHow were you able to come here unseen?\u201d
\n\u201c\u2019The Shadow\u2019 helped with that. It seems,
\nhe knows how to travel in the in-between.\u201d
\nThey didn\u2019t bother asking what that meant.
\n\u201cWon\u2019t the demons miss you when you went.?\u201d
\n\u201cThey may, if I don\u2019t return fairly soon.\u201d
\n\u201cThey won\u2019t bother me on the day of the moon.\u201d
\n\u201c\u2019The Shadow told me what you are working on.\u201d
\n\u201cIt is something else I have been working on.\u201d
\n\u201cMind control. It is my specialty, to a certain extent.\u201d
\n\u201cWhat they want from me is more than its meant.\u201d
\n\u201cWay beyond what I had ever imagined.\u201d
\n\u201cComplete control of the entire world, in a fashion.\u201d
\n\u201cWhat!! Is such a thing even possible??\u201d
\n\u201cI didn\u2019t think so, but they have phases.\u201d
\n\u201cEach step brings me closer. I\u2019ve completed two phases.\u201d
\n\u201cLet me guess. All on a need to know basis.\u201d
\n\u201cYes, how was you ever able to guess?\u201d
\n\u201cIt\u2019s the same for us. They have a master plan.\u201d
\n\u201cWe intend to discover it, if we are smart.\u201d
\n\u201cThen, we may upset their apple cart.\u201d
\n\u201cCount me in.\u201d said Merlin, with a grin.
\n\u201cI would like to punch a demon on the chin.\u201d
\n\u201cWell,—- I am on my way for now.\u201d
\n\u201cWe don\u2019t want those demons finding out somehow.\u201d
\nWith that, both Merlin & \u2018The Shadow\u2019 zapped away.
\nSoon, \u2018The Shadow\u2019 was back to stay.
\n\u201cWhat have you got to say about that?\u201d
\nKronos said \u201cI liked him. I give him my hat.\u201d
\n\u201cI meant what the demons have him doing.\u201d
\n\u201cTotally different than us. Something big is brewing.\u201d
\n\u201cThat seems to be exactly right.\u201d \u2018The Shadow said.
\n\u201cThere are others. I\u2019m not sure how many.\u201d He said.
\n\u201cAll are working on different things, for sure.\u201d
\n\u201cAll controlled by severe threats to occur.\u201d
\n\u201cThat is, if they don\u2019t do as told when told\u201d
\n\u201cThose demons are damn brazen, if I may be so bold.\u201d
\n\u201cSo, where do we go from here?\u201d
\n\u201cLet me think on it to get things clear.\u201d
\nWhat \u2018The Shadow\u2019 comes up with is not known.
\nWhen I know, I will continue to make it shown.
\nUntil then, pray for the best.
