\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Captive<\/strong><\/p>\n The first time to tell my story is a fright.<\/p>\n I\u2019m the special speaker at A. A. tonight.<\/p>\n My sponsor says\u00a0 it will be alright.<\/p>\n As I start my story I\u2019m a little uptight.<\/p>\n For me it started in my teenage years.<\/p>\n No, not drinking or drugs. Not even beer.<\/p>\n I was a straight girl. Nothing less.<\/p>\n I was a virgin, as you might guess.<\/p>\n It happened as I was walking home.<\/p>\n I was grabbed from behind. I was alone.<\/p>\n I was thrown into the back of a van.<\/p>\n I was given chloroform by the man.<\/p>\n When I awoke I was locked in a room.<\/p>\n Mattress on the floor there in the gloom.<\/p>\n Bars on the window. The door was locked.<\/p>\n A bucket in the corner to use as a pot.<\/p>\n After awhile, the man came into the room.<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019re my sex slave\u201d said the goon.<\/p>\n I remember my thoughts as he stripped me bare.<\/p>\n What will I tell my teddy bear??<\/p>\n That first time hurt so bad I prayed he would stop.<\/p>\n Finally he got up. I was glued to the spot.<\/p>\n No sooner had he left than another came in.<\/p>\n Then the whole thing started again.<\/p>\n I won\u2019t go into detail what all they did to me.<\/p>\n Let your imagine run wild, then you might see.<\/p>\n After almost a month the police broke in.<\/p>\n They took me from that house of sin.<\/p>\n To me, it seemed like a year or more.<\/p>\n I was frozen to my very core.<\/p>\n I have been asked how I survived.<\/p>\n It was a miracle I was even alive.<\/p>\n All I remember to fill the void.<\/p>\n I became an organic robitoid.<\/p>\n I went through the motions\u00a0 they said to do.<\/p>\n Inside I thought— I am dead to you.<\/p>\n I had no emotional response.<\/p>\n A machine, moving only to their taunts.<\/p>\n Months of therapy didn\u2019t help my gloom.<\/p>\n I lived with my parents, mostly in my room.<\/p>\n I rarely came out. I hated crowds.<\/p>\n I ate in my room. Often I cried out loud.<\/p>\n My dad gave me some wine once with dinner.<\/p>\n He said \u201cDeep inside I know you\u2019re a winner.\u201d<\/p>\n I felt a little better after a drink or two.<\/p>\n Then I knew exactly what I\u2019d do.<\/p>\n There was a liquor store near the house.<\/p>\n I would sneak out quiet as a mouse.<\/p>\n Cover myself up good with clothes.<\/p>\n All you could see was just my nose.<\/p>\n I was soon buying wine by the case.<\/p>\n Hiding the empties all over the place.<\/p>\n After 2-3 bottles of wine a day,<\/p>\n things seemed to be, almost, o.k.<\/p>\n Then, one day, while watching TV<\/p>\n It was like they were talking about me.<\/p>\n It was a program about alcohol abuse.<\/p>\n I was killing myself just to feel loose.<\/p>\n I said no,— I could stop if I wanted to.<\/p>\n So I told myself no to the booze.<\/p>\n Soon, I was shaking and sick as hell.<\/p>\n I told my folks I didn\u2019t feel well.<\/p>\n I confessed all my drinking to them.<\/p>\n Asked them to take me to detox then.<\/p>\n I detoxed and started in a program.<\/p>\n Got a sponsor and said I\u2019d show them.<\/p>\n I stayed sober and worked the steps.<\/p>\n Now, I\u2019m telling all, how my life was a mess.<\/p>\n How I was captive of my own devices.<\/p>\n But, now, I really know what nice is.<\/p>\n I\u2019d been captive to a sick sexual nut.<\/p>\n It was hard, but, I got out of that rut.<\/p>\n To sum it up as to what it means to me.<\/p>\n Thank God. Now I am finally free!!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A quiet hush fell over the place.<\/p>\n There was hardly a dry eye in the place.<\/p>\n As I stepped down everyone did clap<\/p>\n People were hugging me and patting my back.<\/p>\n I felt welcome.
