A Lonely Man<\/p>\n
He was just a lonely man.
\nMiddle aged, with a tan.
\nA nice head of hair.
\nSlightly graying, but there.
\nEvery day, he sat on a park bench.
\nFed the squirrels and the finch.
\nHe never bothered anyone.
\nHe wasn\u2019t into having fun.
\nNo family, no one close.
\nNothing for which he could boast.<\/p>\n
He was just a lonely man.
\nHe listened to jazz, when he can.
\nHe went through life with little care.
\nNot concerned about what to wear.
\nDidn\u2019t have a girlfriend or a wench.
\nHe liked sports though. That\u2019s a cinch.
\nHe liked when the dusk would come.
\nThe stars would appear, one by one.
\nHis favorite food was rump roast.
\nIt was the gravy he liked the most.<\/p>\n
He was just a lonely man.
\nHe watched some kids kicking a can.
\nHe often thought it would be nice to share.
\nBut, it didn\u2019t happen. No one was there.
\nHe was fairly handy with a wrench.
\nConcerning politics, he didn\u2019t budge an inch.
\nTo stay In shape, he liked to run.
\nNot with others. That, he would shun.
\nOne day he took off for the coast.
\nA small vacation, he would host.<\/p>\n
He was just a lonely man.<\/p>\n
