{"id":3644,"date":"2019-07-10T15:05:52","date_gmt":"2019-07-10T23:05:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wordsmithwisdom.com\/?p=3644"},"modified":"2019-07-10T15:05:52","modified_gmt":"2019-07-10T23:05:52","slug":"the-golden-age-of-magic-chapter-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wordsmithwisdom.com\/?p=3644","title":{"rendered":"The Golden Age Of Magic (Chapter 7)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Before Anathea made her \u2018Watcher\u2019s\u2019 trek.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>A tragedy happened that affected her, by heck.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>She had been captured by the Warlocks.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Taken prisoner without more thought.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>She didn\u2019t tell them her real name.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>They knew she was a Wizard by the game.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>She was taken to Aladon to interview.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>She was very beautiful. This he knew.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>She said she was Elmondi, a Wizard who had died.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>There was no way for him to know she had lied.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>He wasn\u2019t sure just how to take her.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>So, he just decided to rape her.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>She fought like a demon, but he was stronger.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Now she knew he was truly a war monger.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>After, she was thrown into a cell. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>In about 6 weeks, things were not going well.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>All of her fears came true.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>She ended up pregnant by the ignorant fool.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Aladon was soon informed of her condition.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>He had wanted a son by his admission.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>If she had a girl, the child would be killed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>If it was a boy, she would do as he willed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Nurse the baby until he was weaned.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>But, she would never become a queen.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Her living conditions improved while pregnant.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Once the boy was born, he was found not latent.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Indications were he would be very powerful.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Aladon was well pleased. Anathea was sorrowful. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Aladon named the child Kronos.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Anathea had no say. Her suggestions were no, no\u2019s.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Within a month, when their guard was down.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>She made her escape. She was never found.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>She made it back to the Wizard\u2019s keep.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Once there, she spent a lot of time alone to weep.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>She decided to up the game.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>With the \u2018Watcher\u2019s\u2019 help, hopefully, not in vain.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>In the meantime, Aladon found a wet nurse.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>He taught Kronos at a young age. Verse by verse.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Kronos was highly intelligent and learned fast.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>He was doing magic at a young age with class.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>All during this time, the battle raged on.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Kronos knew why his father was often gone.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Kronos did not know his mother was a Wizard.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Aladon forbade it unless they wanted to lose their\ngizzard.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Kronos was told his mother died while giving birth.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>He always accepted that, for what it was worth.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Anathea did not use the lance or deceiver powers.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Mainly due to Kronos. She couldn\u2019t kill her flower.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Finally, about the time Kronos came of age.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Anathea knew she had to set the stage.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>She used the lance in a battle.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>She wiped out everyone who sat in the saddle.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Aladon was so enraged he totally lost it.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>He grabbed his sword, magically enhanced to get<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>the victory, no matter what. Lance or no lance.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Kronos told him \u201cNo, the sword can\u2019t beat the lance.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Aladon roared and charged out to find Anathea.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>It was a battle no one wanted to see, yeah.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Aladon wounded Anathea in the side.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>When he saw her, his eyes went wide.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>He recognized her as Kronos\u2019s mother.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Anathea knew who she battled was \u2018the other.\u2019<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>She was forced to use the lance to save her life.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Aladon was killed, despite all of his might.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Kronos now became leader of the Warlocks.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Aladon was given a royal funeral no one forgot.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Anathea knew Kronos would want revenge.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>She wouldn\u2019t fight him, so why pretend.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>What happened next is in another story.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>But, will be told again in all its glory.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>But first, I need a break.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>All of this is a lot to take.&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;R.W.\nJohnson&#8212;&#8211;(2019)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Before Anathea made her \u2018Watcher\u2019s\u2019 trek.
