God knows I tried every day.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each time someone new would come my way.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Someone of the opposite sex.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Someone who I could not vex.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would strive to have a connection.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I cannot think of a single exception.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, every time I would come up short.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you think it was because of the wart?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have a large wart on my nose.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is prominent wherever I go.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You would think I was putting on a show.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I must find someone who looks beyond this.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To what is on the inside to see if it fits.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have been told \u201cHave it removed.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If I did, it would feel crude.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By that, I mean it defines who I am.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am not a wart,—- I am a man.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If she can see beyond it, she\u2019s for me.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, I can remove it and feel free.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until then, it is my guiding light.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will you be with me tonight?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
