I was walking along some street in town.<\/p>\n

There was no particular place I was bound.<\/p>\n

Just thinking how different it might have been.<\/p>\n

If you would have said \u2018yes\u2019 way back then.<\/p>\n

I had plans and schemes of what we\u2019d do.<\/p>\n

I could make them happen if I had you.<\/p>\n

But, you said \u2018no\u2019 & our lives went different ways.<\/p>\n

Still, I often think about those past days.<\/p>\n

I am still here. Stuck in this town.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re gone. Nowhere to be found.<\/p>\n

I am still single. But, not for lack of trying.<\/p>\n

No one measures up to you, I keep sighing.<\/p>\n

Somehow I got stuck in the past.<\/p>\n

My emotions were shattered, needing a cast.<\/p>\n

They haven\u2019t learned to walk again yet.<\/p>\n

If they could my life would be set.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m a broken man. Stumbling along with no plan.<\/p>\n

Searching, but for what? I don\u2019t understand?<\/p>\n

A part of me has been ripped away.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t care if it is night or day.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been this way since you said \u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, I have no idea where to go.<\/p>\n

I walk in the park and see the birds.<\/p>\n

I see some lovers having words.<\/p>\n

I see kids playing ball & running with a kite.<\/p>\n

I saw two teenagers about to have a fight.<\/p>\n

It is all like in a dream. Am I here?<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t function normally. Isn\u2019t that queer?<\/p>\n

No thoughts seem to come clearly.<\/p>\n

No, I haven\u2019t been drinking beer, see.<\/p>\n

Part of me is missing. It\u2019s been destroyed.<\/p>\n

I am not a man, I am just a toy.<\/p>\n

They say time heals all wounds.<\/p>\n

I hope and pray that healing will come soon.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, I walk down a street in town.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t have any idea where I am bound.<\/p>\n
