        Fate Of The\nLonely<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another night of suds and buds.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Little changes, except the mugs.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drowning my sorrows in my beer.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the time wishing you were here.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I remember how it came about.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was sneaking through the backwoods<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

quiet as a mouse.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was close when a shot rang out.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started running as I gave a shout.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMarie, are you o.k. Marie.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, a shocking sight hit me.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was lying on the kitchen floor.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blood all over, even on the door.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A gun near her side, a bullet hole in her head.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I knew immediately that she was dead.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A note on the table explained it all.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It explained why she took this fall.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI met him by accident one day.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA minor fender bender. Who\u2019s fault? Who could say.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe had coffee nearby to discuss it all.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOne thing led to another then came the fall.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI love you & I am so ashamed\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe only way out is to end this game.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, I drink to forget my loss.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It doesn\u2019t work. Nothing does at any cost.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One drink for now to help carry the load.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
