It happened today. What a big surprise.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I met the person who opened my eyes.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I must have traveled a million miles.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

On Trains, planes, and cars. Even walked awhile.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I was searching. But, I didn\u2019t know for what.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Seems I was kind of in a rut.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Just kept truckin & roaming around.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Till I finally came back to this town.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes, this town where I was born & raised.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t seen it in many days.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Why I came back? I haven\u2019t a clue.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I<\/em><\/strong>t wasn\u2019t a girl because I didn\u2019t know you.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

It seems you were the \u2018girl next door.\u2019<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Somehow, I never talked with you before.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Then I saw you out front in the street.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

That is how we happened to meet.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

You said\u201d Didn\u2019t you used to live next door?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I said \u201cYes, my parents are still here, as before.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI have been just traveling around.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I was searching for I never found.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWhat was that?\u201d she said with a smile.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI guess just a place to belong for awhile\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

She laughed at that and we continued to talk.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

She remembered me but, I was caught.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I had to admit I had forgotten how pretty she was.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

She smiled bigger at this because<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I was blushing very brightly now.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

She smoothed it all over somehow.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

After a week I found she was always on my mind.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

She was charming, beautiful and very kind.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We started hanging out together.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We went places despite the weather.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

As time went by I began to see.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

She was the one who was meant for me.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

She was what I had been searching for.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

All this time she was right next door.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Let this be a lesson to all who read this.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Never let your life run amiss.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Take a good look at what is around.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
