\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Down In The Dumps<\/strong><\/p>\n I\u2019ve been feeling mighty low.<\/p>\n I don\u2019t have anywhere to go.<\/p>\n I don\u2019t have the energy to move.<\/p>\n I barely have enough to fix a little food.<\/p>\n I just lie here on the couch.<\/p>\n Wondering what life\u2019s all about.<\/p>\n I flip through the TV channels.<\/p>\n Might as well look at hard wood panels.<\/p>\n It is all the same to me. All as boring as it can be.<\/p>\n No one takes the time to stop by.<\/p>\n They won\u2019t even give the phone a try.<\/p>\n So life drags on for another day.<\/p>\n I just lie here and waste away.<\/p>\n Did God deal me an honest hand?<\/p>\n Did He make me all that I am?<\/p>\n At least I have two arms and legs.<\/p>\n I can\u2019t really be one who begs.<\/p>\n My eyes and ears are good too.<\/p>\n I\u2019m smart enough to not be a fool.<\/p>\n Then why am I here wasting away?<\/p>\n There has got to be a better way.<\/p>\n Let\u2019s look at the want ads for jobs.<\/p>\n Looking for work is not too odd.<\/p>\n There\u2019s lots of jobs I can do.<\/p>\n I must clean up and interview.<\/p>\n A month later I was looking good.<\/p>\n I had a job. the money was good.<\/p>\n Several girls were looking my way.<\/p>\n What else more is there to say?<\/p>\n I let myself sink into a hole of self pity.<\/p>\n The end result was not very pretty.<\/p>\n I\u2019d like to say I pulled myself out.<\/p>\n But, prayer did the trick to get me out.<\/p>\n I found out later the prayers weren\u2019t all mine.<\/p>\n Now, that person is with me all the time.<\/p>\n If not in person, then in my thoughts.<\/p>\n If I lose her I will really be distraught.<\/p>\n Happy days are here again.<\/p>\n With me & God & my new friend.<\/p>\n ————————————————R.
