I keep forgetting not to remember<\/p>\n

you are someone that I used to know.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve done a lot since last September.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t remember everywhere I go.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve traveled around everywhere.<\/p>\n

I saw the stars down in Kokomo.<\/p>\n

I spent some time at the World\u2019s Fair.<\/p>\n

I even skied the Alps, —you know.<\/p>\n

Around the world in 80 days.<\/p>\n

Through storms and good weather.<\/p>\n

I could hardly see for the haze.<\/p>\n

Then, from tall mountains, see forever.<\/p>\n

Still, I keep forgetting not to remember<\/p>\n

you are someone that I used to know.<\/p>\n

I had a ball on San Francisco Bay.<\/p>\n

the Alaskan cruise was super fun.<\/p>\n

At times it stayed light almost all day.<\/p>\n

It was fun\u00a0 watching the whales run.<\/p>\n

I enjoyed Paris, with its nighttime life.<\/p>\n

The food was rich and delicious.<\/p>\n

I saw the Eiffel Tower lit up at night.<\/p>\n

The beauty answered all one\u2019s wishes.<\/p>\n

An African safari was really right.<\/p>\n

The monkeys were funny throwing kisses.<\/p>\n

But, I keep forgetting not to remember<\/p>\n

you are someone that I used to know.<\/p>\n

Though I have kept busy while gone.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t put it out of my mind.<\/p>\n

I remember just where we went wrong.<\/p>\n

I have always thought that you were fine.<\/p>\n

So much more were we than friends.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t get you out of my mind.<\/p>\n

I guess which is right depends.<\/p>\n

Are you looking from your eyes or mine?<\/p>\n

From my eyes we would never be apart.<\/p>\n

From your eyes we were friends, —no more.<\/p>\n

To accept that really ripped up my heart.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t forget your goodbye kiss at the door.<\/p>\n

So, I keep forgetting not to remember<\/p>\n

you are someone that I used to know.<\/p>\n
