While traveling northwards<\/p>\n

on a back country lane.<\/p>\n

I<\/em>t was very strange.<\/p>\n

I saw a village appear from nowhere.<\/p>\n

All I could do is stop and stare<\/p>\n

I climbed a hill overlooking it all.<\/p>\n

There was several horse stalls.<\/p>\n

Old grey slated roofs<\/p>\n

on dilapidated buildings was the proof.<\/p>\n

Nothing was moving as the day went by.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s like it was dead or all were shy.<\/p>\n

Maybe a plague killed all in sight.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll wait till night to look for a light.<\/p>\n

No light came on as time went by.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s like a ghost town.<\/p>\n

I said to myself with a frown.<\/p>\n

I felt the \u2018wrong\u2019 lurking there.<\/p>\n

It made me shiver, I\u2019ll swear.<\/p>\n

Should I set foot within this place?<\/p>\n

One wrong turn is all it takes.<\/p>\n

End up where you can never come back.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t want to live in a shack.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s funny, nothing was heard.<\/p>\n

Nothing stirred, not even a bird.<\/p>\n

There was no smoke from chimney\u2019s high.<\/p>\n

No kids playing, ready to say hi.<\/p>\n

The village is a place I shouldn\u2019t be.<\/p>\n

I left before entering. I needed to flee.<\/p>\n

I asked others when I got to a town.<\/p>\n

They all smiled and looked around.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re not the first to mention the village.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSome went there just to pillage.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were never seen again.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cConsider yourself lucky, my friend.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou see, the village comes and goes\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt doesn\u2019t exist, or so we\u2019ve been told\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAn urban legend, if you like.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAll who enter there go out of sight\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNever to be seen again.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis has happened time and again.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one knows who built the town.\u201d<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t know why it still comes around.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are rumors that never end.\u201d<\/p>\n

I moved on still not sure what to think.<\/p>\n
