just as fast as you can<\/p>\n

who goes by the name of the Sandman.<\/p>\n

I hear he flies through the sky<\/p>\n

like an eagle in the eye<\/p>\n

of a hurricane that\u2019s abandoned.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

These were words once sung and told<\/p>\n

from the days of battles old.<\/p>\n

When men flew planes like acrobats.<\/p>\n

Dog fights then were quite an act.<\/p>\n

The more planes you could shoot down<\/p>\n

the greater your reputation on the ground.<\/p>\n

The Red Barron and Snoopy were such.<\/p>\n

Fiction for comics without a stretch.<\/p>\n

Based on an actual German pilot.<\/p>\n

His 23 kills almost started a riot.<\/p>\n

Like \u201cSink the Bismarck\u201d \u00a0was to the Navy<\/p>\n

during WWII driving them crazy.<\/p>\n

The Red Baron was to the Air Force<\/p>\n

during WWI a must to hit with a gun.<\/p>\n

War heroes come from going through crap.<\/p>\n

Like Audi Murphy, who went to hell & back.<\/p>\n

But, the air pilots are a breed of their own.<\/p>\n

They are top guns whose numbers have grown.<\/p>\n

The planes are faster, the weapons better.<\/p>\n

Yet, they carry on. Right to the letter.<\/p>\n

If someone in your family has earned his wings,<\/p>\n

they can teach you a few things.<\/p>\n

Like tip your hat when a lady walks by.<\/p>\n

Yet, kick some ass when you take to\u00a0 the air.<\/p>\n
