\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Forgiveness<\/strong><\/p>\n Locked away in solitude, I try to survive.<\/p>\n I pull together the shattered\u00a0 life<\/p>\n that once was in heaven gazing into her eyes.<\/p>\n How could such love lead to such strife?<\/p>\n We were the perfect couple.<\/p>\n In all we did we were together.<\/p>\n She was my loving honey suckle.<\/p>\n I was hers forever and ever.<\/p>\n Things were happy. The future was bright.<\/p>\n We planed everything we did.<\/p>\n Such joy and fun was out of sight.<\/p>\n I thought nothing between us was ever hid.<\/p>\n Then, one day, she had something to tell me.<\/p>\n She told me to sit down and be calm.<\/p>\n Such news might be too much for me.<\/p>\n I should be patient. it won\u2019t take long.<\/p>\n She talked about another life.<\/p>\n One she had before I knew her.<\/p>\n She had lived in poverty and strife.<\/p>\n None of it she liked, to be sure.<\/p>\n She made her living on her back.<\/p>\n She had to survive somehow.<\/p>\n She was in tears right where she sat.<\/p>\n She said \u201cIt\u2019s come back to haunt me now.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI met someone from my past life.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe wanted to start it up again.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI ran away from him. I don\u2019t want that life.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t want to ever live in sin.\u201d<\/p>\n I was so shocked I couldn\u2019t speak.<\/p>\n She longed for support, but, I ran away.<\/p>\n Now I am so drunk that I reek.<\/p>\n In this solitude, I will stay.<\/p>\n Then a thought occurred to me.<\/p>\n I remembered The Lord\u2019s Prayer<\/p>\n I could forgive her if she could forgive me.<\/p>\n I found her & apologized. I didn\u2019t care.<\/p>\n I said I loved her as she is now.<\/p>\n the past was just a good bye.<\/p>\n Could she please take me back somehow.<\/p>\n I poured out me heart. Gave it my best try.<\/p>\n She flew into my arms smothering me with kisses.<\/p>\n She said all she wanted was me and me alone.<\/p>\n She said us together is what bliss is.<\/p>\n Now neither of us will ever be alone.<\/p>\n ——————————————————R.
