Hop, The Frog<\/strong><\/p>\n I knew a frog.<\/p>\n His name was Hop.<\/p>\n A friendly frog.<\/p>\n I liked him alot.<\/p>\n One day he ate<\/p>\n my favorite fly.<\/p>\n The sight of that<\/p>\n just made me cry.<\/p>\n Hop was sorry,<\/p>\n but, couldn\u2019t resist.<\/p>\n \u201cI was hungry\u201d,<\/p>\n as he smacked his lips.<\/p>\n \u201cWould you rather<\/p>\n I ate a Gnu?<\/p>\n Or, maybe, chewed<\/p>\n an old shoe?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI will be nice<\/p>\n as you will see.<\/p>\n Before you decide<\/p>\n you will eat me.\u201d<\/p>\n At such a thought<\/p>\n I started to shake.<\/p>\n \u201cI wouldn\u2019t eat you<\/p>\n for heaven\u2019s sake.\u201d<\/p>\n Hop then said;<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m glad of that,<\/p>\n But, don\u2019t be upset<\/p>\n if I have a snack.\u201d—————-R. Johnson—–(2003)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Wild Places<\/strong><\/p>\n Daily, it seems, our lives were hanging by a thread.<\/p>\n Never twice in the same place to rest our weary heads.<\/p>\n Listening at night, with our hearts full of fright.<\/p>\n Often, running for our lives in the middle of the night.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We searched for wild places.<\/p>\n Places where we can touch the Father\u2019s hand.<\/p>\n We longed for wild places.<\/p>\n Places that are untouched by human hands.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We plan to rebuild the fountains.<\/p>\n Let the gardens spread across the land.<\/p>\n Bring back art, music, poetry, & books.<\/p>\n All the beautiful things that were so grand.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n For now, we seek wild places.<\/p>\n Places where we can touch the Father\u2019s hand.<\/p>\n We long for wild places.<\/p>\n For all the rest has been destroyed by man.<\/p>\n ——————————————————R.
