I\u2019ve always been a wayfaring wanderer.<\/p>\n

Rambling back & forth across this land.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve never wanted to settle down.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m just a fun loving traveling man.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Then I met that little gal.<\/p>\n

Way down in Abilene.<\/p>\n

She made my heart skip a beat.<\/p>\n

As pretty as a beauty queen.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

She looked my way & I was hooked.<\/p>\n

I knew my rambling days were through.<\/p>\n

But, it was more than just her looks.<\/p>\n

My mama didn\u2019t raise no fool.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

She had the charms & manners of high class.<\/p>\n

Yet, she could talk to me like an average Joe.<\/p>\n

She was intelligent & well versed.<\/p>\n

Yet, never made me feel stupid or low.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I stayed around & we dated some.<\/p>\n

We fit together like a hand in a glove<\/p>\n

I knew that I had found my soulmate.<\/p>\n

Friends said \u201cAsk her\u201d & gave me a shove.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I proposed & the rest is history.<\/p>\n

She is my woman. She is my life.<\/p>\n

I gave up my rambling ways.<\/p>\n

My reality is slipping fast.<\/p>\n

I think I\u2019m sitting in a draft.<\/p>\n

It is blowing my reality away.<\/p>\n

Out the door like paper machae\u2019 .<\/p>\n

My only hope is to cling to you.<\/p>\n

Comfort me, like you always do.<\/p>\n

Keep me stable & on firm ground.<\/p>\n

Keep my eyes from looking around.<\/p>\n

For I may slip & flip right out.<\/p>\n

An ugly sight, without a doubt.<\/p>\n

Stop the demons from screaming in my head.<\/p>\n

Before they tie me down to a bed.<\/p>\n

Be my friend & guide me through.<\/p>\n
