It\u2019s the time of year for thinking.<\/p>\n

Winter is coming soon.<\/p>\n

The sun\u2019s still bright enough to start me blinking.<\/p>\n

I wonder if tonight I\u2019ll see the moon?<\/p>\n

Weather is still clear enough for that.<\/p>\n

I think about the summer nights.<\/p>\n

Sky was clear & stars were bright where I sat.<\/p>\n

The summer days were bright.<\/p>\n

The long summer evenings were warm.<\/p>\n

Much to warm to sleep with ease.<\/p>\n

Despite that, I am often torn<\/p>\n

between\u00a0 that and winter\u2019s freeze.<\/p>\n

Autumn is a lovely time.<\/p>\n

The trees turning a beautiful color.<\/p>\n

Soon it will look like a naked vine.<\/p>\n

Leaves will have fallen to the gutter.<\/p>\n

Then I think of the green, green spring.<\/p>\n

Things are alive and flowers bloom.<\/p>\n

People’s laughter has a certain ring.<\/p>\n

Lover\u2019s heart\u2019s will swoon.<\/p>\n

Then I think about my love for you.<\/p>\n

With all it\u2019s twists and thrills.<\/p>\n

I have often acted the fool.<\/p>\n

As I tried to win your heart to fill.<\/p>\n

Fill your heart with love for me.<\/p>\n

But, alas, this cannot be done.<\/p>\n

I finally have come to see.<\/p>\n

I only put you on the run.<\/p>\n

You run to avoid feeling controlled.<\/p>\n

I am making the choices for you.<\/p>\n

You fear becoming a puppet controlled<\/p>\n

by my desires and feelings for you.<\/p>\n

You are an independent thinker.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t tell you what to do or not do.<\/p>\n

If my heart was I boat I would sink her.<\/p>\n

Easier to take than life without you.<\/p>\n

So as my love life enters it\u2019s winter\u2019s stage,<\/p>\n

I look forward to spring\u2019s new life.<\/p>\n

For with it maybe will come a phase<\/p>\n

of love with you that\u00a0 is out of site.<\/p>\n

A love with understanding and communication.<\/p>\n

A love that is the shining star<\/p>\n

of any romance with communication.<\/p>\n

A love that loves you for who you are.<\/p>\n

Not someone I would want you to be.<\/p>\n

But, someone who is her own person.<\/p>\n

Someone who is born to be free.<\/p>\n
