What Goes Around Comes Around<\/strong><\/p>\n I don\u2019t know if I can keep on keeping on.<\/p>\n This depression has gotten me down.<\/p>\n I can\u2019t just put a happy face on.<\/p>\n Like some happy go lucky clown.<\/p>\n It\u2019s been this way since you waved goodbye.<\/p>\n You left without a word or sound.<\/p>\n Left me all alone to cry and cry.<\/p>\n I\u00a0 have no idea where you were bound.<\/p>\n You took off like a bat out of hell.<\/p>\n Disappeared in a cloud of dust.<\/p>\n Left me coughing as my heart fell.<\/p>\n It stopped and started turning to rust.<\/p>\n I keep searching for a sign of you.<\/p>\n Checked the mail for a letter or note.<\/p>\n Nothing but bills and things to do.<\/p>\n Junk mail really gets my goat.<\/p>\n Every night I leave the light on.<\/p>\n So, if you come by you\u2019ll know I\u2019m home.<\/p>\n But, for two long years I\u2019ve left the light on.<\/p>\n You don\u2019t come by. You do not phone.<\/p>\n A darker life I can\u2019t imagine.<\/p>\n I no longer have an appetite.<\/p>\n I am wondering now how it can end.<\/p>\n I do not have the strength to fight.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Then, I get an E-mail from a high school friend.<\/p>\n I haven\u2019t seen her in years.<\/p>\n She asks how things have been.<\/p>\n I don\u2019t mention all my fears.<\/p>\n We talk back and forth for awhile.<\/p>\n Then we started talking on the phone.<\/p>\n Many weeks of long conversational trials<\/p>\n led to a date. I pick her up at home.<\/p>\n After weeks of dating and having a blast<\/p>\n I get a letter from you to my surprise.<\/p>\n You state your very sorry for the past.<\/p>\n I am still the love light in your eyes.<\/p>\n I pick up a pen and begin to write.<\/p>\n I never thought it would happen.<\/p>\n Without hesitation I write.<\/p>\n Another has taken your place.
