That\u2019s till I got a look at you.<\/p>\n

My heart pounded real fast.<\/p>\n

My foot slipped off the gas.<\/p>\n

I almost ran off the road.<\/p>\n

My brain was twitching like a toad.<\/p>\n

I pulled over to catch my breath.<\/p>\n

You were the one. My mind was set.<\/p>\n

I began to make great plans.<\/p>\n

I would make you mine, if I can.<\/p>\n

How to start, I wasn\u2019t sure.<\/p>\n

All I knew is you were the cure<\/p>\n

for a heart doing cartwheels.<\/p>\n

Only a lover knows how it feels.<\/p>\n

I looked up and you were gone.<\/p>\n

Where did you go? I can\u2019t go on.<\/p>\n

You must be close. I\u2019ll look around.<\/p>\n

Try as I might, you couldn\u2019t be found.<\/p>\n

Were you an angel that I saw?<\/p>\n

Or my imagination having a ball?<\/p>\n

I doubted then that you were real.<\/p>\n

I had to stay on an even keel.<\/p>\n

I had a drink & headed for home.<\/p>\n
