She was a girl living on her own in the city.<\/p>\n

I saw her as a flower blooming very pretty.<\/p>\n

I made an effort to get to know her.<\/p>\n

Before long I grew much bolder.<\/p>\n

I asked her out and love grew from there.<\/p>\n

Then word came which we could hardly bare<\/p>\n

I had to leave for an indefinite time.<\/p>\n

We cried. I said everything would be fine.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d send money. She could move away.<\/p>\n

She wanted into a country home to stay.<\/p>\n

Eventually, this dream came true for her.<\/p>\n

She bought a home. A cozy one, for sure.<\/p>\n

She continued to wait with much concern.<\/p>\n

The time was near for my return.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Early in the morning.<\/p>\n

Just about the time the day is dawning.<\/p>\n

When all the birds of song are singing.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll be coming home to you.<\/p>\n

Look out across the frosty meadow.<\/p>\n

The sun will be turning yellow.<\/p>\n

All the trees will be saying hello.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll be coming home to you.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

She was a country girl at heart.<\/p>\n

She loved to sit before the hearth.<\/p>\n

Feel the warmth coming from the fire.<\/p>\n

As she dreamed of her desire.<\/p>\n

She was faithful as she waited patiently.<\/p>\n

Knowing I would be coming home to see<\/p>\n

our new home where we would be together.<\/p>\n

Our love will grow, no matter the weather.<\/p>\n

She knew I didn\u2019t want to leave.<\/p>\n

It was impossible to even conceive<\/p>\n

of being apart for such a lengthy time.<\/p>\n

It was so hard it was almost a crime.<\/p>\n

But, it all would be over soon.<\/p>\n

All the waiting would heal like a wound.<\/p>\n
