I woke with the sun blazing in my eyes.<\/p>\n

Another night if groveling in the dirt.<\/p>\n

Fighting the demons with the Rye.<\/p>\n

Is there no end to this miserable life?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I saw in the air above<\/p>\n

six blackbirds chasing a crow.<\/p>\n

He was flying, swooping, dodging.<\/p>\n

But, he was just too slow.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Those blackbirds were giving him hell.<\/p>\n

Sort of reminded me of myself.<\/p>\n

Lying in the dirt, not doing well.<\/p>\n

Is there no escape from this miserable life?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

My life was a living hell.<\/p>\n

Death would be a sweet release.<\/p>\n

No, I wasn\u2019t doing well.<\/p>\n

There was only misery in my life.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Then, nearby. I saw a fly.<\/p>\n

Trapped in a spider\u2019s web.<\/p>\n

He had caught the spider\u2019s eye.<\/p>\n

He was trying to get loose.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As the spider moved on in,<\/p>\n

the fly struggled and fought.<\/p>\n

But, he knew he couldn\u2019t win.<\/p>\n

Exactly how I was feeling.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This brought about a change in me.<\/p>\n

I threw myself on the ground.<\/p>\n

\u201cGod, are you there? Can you hear me?\u201d<\/p>\n

I prayed from my very soul.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cI know I can never win.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut, if you\u2019ll forgive my feeble attempts,<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll walk away from the bottle and sin.\u201d<\/p>\n

I meant it with all my heart.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cBut, like the fly and the crow,<\/p>\n

I can do nothing to help myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s up to you God to help me grow.\u201d<\/p>\n

I laid it all before the Lord.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The man got up, brushed off his pants,<\/p>\n

Then threw away his bottle.<\/p>\n

He knew he had a second chance.<\/p>\n

He would follow the Holy Spirit where he led.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He changed his ways.<\/p>\n

He changed so much you wouldn\u2019t believe<\/p>\n

If you saw him this very day.<\/p>\n

It was like the difference between black and white.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He\u2019s now the Pastor down on skid row.<\/p>\n

His sermons cause quite a stir.<\/p>\n

Especially, when he preaches about the fly and the crow.<\/p>\n

Praise the Lord in all he does!!!<\/p>\n
