\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bad Reputation<\/strong><\/p>\n Friday night again, and, I\u2019m home alone.<\/p>\n My friends are all out with their dates.<\/p>\n But, no one calls me on the phone.<\/p>\n Unless it\u2019s the kind of call I hate.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I have a bad reputation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cNo, I\u2019m not that kind of girl\u201d, I say.<\/p>\n They say \u201cThat\u2019s not what I have heard.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI heard you will go all the way\u201d<\/p>\n I slam the phone down without a word.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I have a bad reputation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Because I went out with the \u00a0football star.<\/p>\n It was fine till he decided to park.<\/p>\n I stopped him before he went very far.<\/p>\n He said \u201cNo one jerks around my heart.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I have a bad reputation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ever since that night, rumors spread.<\/p>\n Kids would rather believe shit.<\/p>\n They wouldn\u2019t believe what I said<\/p>\n Instead they rubbed my face in it.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I have a bad reputation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Suddenly there was a knock on the door.<\/p>\n It was the next door neighbor, Dave.<\/p>\n I was so shocked, I nearly hit the floor.<\/p>\n \u201dWould you like to go to a movie?\u201d said Dave.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I have a bad reputation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I said \u201cWhat\u2019s up? You know my reputation.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t believe a word of it, I say.\u201d<\/p>\n What I heard must be my imagination?<\/p>\n I said \u201cWhat, —-What did you say?\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I have a bad reputation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n He said \u201cI\u2019ve wanted to ask you out for years.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI have always been too shy to ask you.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThen when I heard the rumors it brought tears\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI knew the rumors could NOT be true\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n But,– I have a bad reputation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cI determined to ask you out, no matter what\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI would defend your honor to anyone, you know.\u201d<\/p>\n I was in shock. \u201cyes\u201d I said with trembling gut.<\/p>\n I had never known that Dave liked me so.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Bad reputation,—be gone..<\/p>\n <\/p>\n That first date grew into sincere love.<\/p>\n We got married soon after graduation.<\/p>\n Placed on a pedestal high above.<\/p>\n My reputation now shines like a gold creation.<\/p>\n ——————————————————-R.W.
